A developing area of pathology called computational
pathology promises a better integrated approach to clinical informatics,
multi-omics data, and whole-slide pictures. The ability to combine raw data
from various sources, hardware processing capacity restrictions, a lack of
specialised training programmes, as well as questions of ethics and more
general societal acceptable practises that are still developing, are some of
the difficulties that computational pathology must overcome. The local

Computational
pathology and machine learning
The ability to virtualize and digitise entire glass slides
was made possible by the introduction of brightfield and fluorescent slide
scanners. Using whole-slide scanners, the process of scanning histopathology,
immunohistochemistry, or cytology slides is referred to as digital pathology.
Computational methods are also used to interpret, organise, and analyse these
digitised whole-slide pictures. The slides' digital data can be kept in a
centralised cloud-based location, enabling remote access to the information for
a pathologist to analyse manually or an algorithm to review automatically. It
enables the application of AI, a subfield of computational science that creates
data algorithms, in pathology.
